Finyx Collaboration Centre opens in London
Back in January our CEO Phil put time in my diary to catch up; he wanted to know how everything was going for me. I mentioned that I thought we needed a central meeting space for our London based team given that Finyx has doubled in size over the last 12 months and is continuing to scale this year. I thought that as we continue to grow, it is important that we don’t lose the sense of being a tightly-knit team. The timing also feels right from a pandemic perspective, as restrictions have been lifted and many of us feel more confident meeting up in person. He was supportive of the concept and asked my colleague Abz Adi and I to create a plan of action in order to validate the idea.
Fast forward eight weeks and we have the keys to our new Collaboration Centre right next to Spitalfields market!
We ultimately see our new office as a ‘Collaboration Centre’. The space will be flexible and will be used for face-to-face meetings, workshops, and work events, and as such much of the furniture is movable to cater to these different needs. We don’t envisage the space being used like a pre-pandemic traditional office, and there will be no requirement for colleagues to use the space on a day-to-day basis. We hope it will help us deliver better work for our clients through improved collaboration and will be fundamental in continuing to develop our unique Finyx culture – one of friendliness, support, and opportunities.
In traditional Finyx style, the set-up of the new office space has been a real team effort. From Consultants writing IKEA shopping lists to Directors painting the walls, the space has been designed, assembled and transformed by us to suit our specific needs.
It feels amazing to have gone from an idea to a fully-fledged thirty person office space in just two months – which is a testament to the opportunities offered at Finyx.
