As summer starts, so does our Internship Programme

Every year, our York Delivery Centre welcomes a group of interns. This year has been no different, and with summer starting, so too does this year’s internship programme. Our two interns, Kacper and Clara are currently starting their first week.

At Finyx, we take considerable pride in our unique offering that provides a mix of exposure to client engagement, sales, and business development, giving interns a true flavour of what it means to be part of an ever-growing IT Management Consultancy.

Last year, we won the “Employer of the Year” award for our internship program. Although we believe this is a testament to our offering to both interns and graduates and the high-level of responsibility we provide, we wanted to improve upon it even further.

So, this year we are doing things a bit differently. We have a planned a series of workshops in the first week of the internship covering the hard and soft skills needed for consulting. Although at Finyx we believe in on-the-job training, we are determined to offer our interns a good foundation of knowledge on which they can build. This is necessary to help them succeed regardless of previous experience and academic background; we want to give everyone the opportunity to succeed here.

Additionally, our internship programme is a key part of our talent acquisition strategy. Many of our interns who spend their summer gaining a wealth of consulting experience go on to join our Finyx graduate scheme after completing their degrees. This is true for five of our current six graduates who have completed an internship with us in the past.
